ENVIRONMENT

An LDL park store was established at Dinosaur Valley State Park with the proceeds going to park improvements. Through these proceeds, LDL has been able to:

+ Provide summer programs for local children.
+ Provide environmental classrooms.

+ Place educational signs along the hiking paths.

+ Make paths handicapped accessible.

+ Add playground equipment.

The store building was donated by the local electric generating plant and plant employees built the store’s front porch. The store is open seven days a week as is the park. In manning the store, LDL has provided summer jobs for many local high school students.

HOW IS LDL FUNDED?

+ Paluxy Pedal bike race is LDL’s only fund-raiser.
+ Through donations from businesses and individuals, memorials, honorariums, grants from other foundations, and payroll deduction gifts from Glen Rose School employees.
“LDL’s support has never wavered.  Every employee and visitor at Dinosaur Valley State Park has benefitted through LDL Educational Resource Foundation’s dedication to Glen Rose.”
